Senior Associate, Real Estate + Property Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our growing property team in a senior role, assisting in the leadership of property-related banking and finance assignments.

In this position, you will contribute to the professional development of our national team, working with clients across Australia. You will provide strategic advice and innovative solutions, ensuring efficient and accurate delivery of services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Leases and Lease-Related Documentation: Develop leases and lease-related documentation for landlords and tenants, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage Sales of Residential and Commercial Properties: Oversee the sales process for residential and commercial properties, including negotiations and settlements.
  • Advise on Discharges, Estate Management, Contaminated Land, Tax Treatment, and Crown Leases: Provide expert advice on discharges, estate management, contaminated land, tax treatment, and Crown leases, ensuring clients are fully informed and compliant.
  • Supervise and Mentor Junior Lawyers: Lead and develop junior lawyers across our national team, providing guidance and support to ensure their growth and success.
  • Identify Opportunities to Improve Client Service Delivery: Analyze client feedback and identify opportunities to improve service delivery, implementing changes to enhance the overall client experience.
  • Support the Leadership of the Property Practice and Drive Growth Initiatives: Collaborate with the leadership team to drive growth initiatives and develop strategies to increase market share and revenue.
Requirements:
  • Significant Experience in Property Law: Possess significant experience in property law, with a focus on leasing and transactions.
  • Strong Drafting Skills and Attention to Detail: Demonstrate strong drafting skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all work products.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, able to engage confidently with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven Ability to Manage High Volumes of Files: Demonstrate proven ability to manage high volumes of files, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
