Job Title: Principal Policy Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Policy Analyst to join our team at the Department of State Growth. As a key member of our policy team, you will play a critical role in providing authoritative advice to the Government on commercial and policy aspects of major energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and provide high-level written work and correspondence, including Ministerial correspondence, Cabinet documentation, briefing material, reports, and submissions.
  • Identify and propose solutions to emerging challenges, strategic issues, and risks in progressing major projects.
  • Establish and foster productive relationships with external stakeholders, other Government agencies, regulators, and state-owned electricity businesses.
  • Work cooperatively with other members of the team to achieve high-quality outcomes within defined timeframes and resource constraints.
  • Develop, implement, and manage projects using effective project management methodology.
Desirable Requirements:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification.
  • A current driver's licence.
