Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Plant Fitter to join our team in Dubbo, NSW. As a Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing major and minor plant and vehicles.

About the Role

This is a permanent position with a leading Rail Operator, offering a 9-day fortnight roster with working away from home requirements from time to time. You will work on a long-term project that is contracted through to the first quarter of 2032.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair major and minor plant and vehicles.
  • Operate Track Machines when required.
  • Conduct regular servicing of plant as per the Technical Maintenance Plan or OEM guidelines.
  • Respond to breakdowns with field repairs.
  • Supervise contractors during major repairs and overhauls.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in plant mechanics, heavy vehicle mechanics, and auto electrics.
  • Certificate III in Plant Mechanics, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, and Auto Electrics or similar.
  • Hold a current RIW card.
  • White card.
  • Class C Driver's license essential (HR preferred).

The estimated salary for this role is $49.52 - $55.15 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. This rate includes opportunities for overtime that incur additional penalty rates.
