Accounting Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Accounts Payable Officer. This is a permanent full-time position located in the Perth CBD Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately record and administer company creditors, ensuring timely payment within required timeframes. Focus will be on Australian and Pacific Operations.
- Process high-volume invoice batching and processing, including foreign currencies, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure creditor invoices are processed correctly, matched with purchase orders, and appropriately approved before payment.
- Perform accurate creditor statement reconciliations against invoices and address discrepancies monthly.
- Prepare payment runs for approval and upload into the Company's banking system for processing.
- Maintain vendor accounts, setup new vendors, and update existing ones as necessary.
- Respond to creditor queries and maintain effective relations with suppliers.
- Liaise efficiently with site representatives and suppliers.
- Ensure up-to-date filing of accounts payable records and proper archiving as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable roles.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Positive attitude, proactive approach, and willingness to take on tasks outside the general scope of duties.
- High energy levels and ability to meet tight deadlines on multiple tasks while delivering results consistently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to persuade and express ideas effectively.
- Proficiency in computer software, particularly Excel, with strong analytical skills.
