Market Risk Management Lead

This role oversees the strategic direction of market risk management across various portfolios.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing effective risk management strategies.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify, monitor and analyze risks in market-specific portfolios.
  • Conducting thorough analysis of trends and drivers of risk and returns.
  • Reviewing scenario analysis to assess potential financial impact to Citi.

As a seasoned risk professional, you will be responsible for executing functional strategy in area managed. This includes determining approach to implementing functional strategy and being accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and contribution to future strategy of the area(s).

Additionally, you will have full management responsibility for multiple teams of risk professionals, including hiring, compensation, performance appraisals, staff development, training, etc. You must have excellent communication skills to negotiate internally, often at a senior level, as well as external communication/negotiation may be necessary.

Impact reflects size of team managed, strategic influence on the business and interaction with other functions or businesses. A direct report to a C16 role and function as an integral member of the functional leadership team within a country/site location, job family, or line of business.
