We are seeking a highly skilled Communications and Engagement Lead to join our organization. This is an exciting opportunity to build our capacity and play a key role in delivering our strategic plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate strategic communications plans for day-to-day operations and priority projects.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance communication capabilities with customer-focused teams to drive alignment with our strategy.
  • Provide strategic communications support and advice to project leaders and staff as required.
  • Deliver innovative and engaging communications to achieve plan objectives, including content that inspires and motivates people.
  • Coordinate the delivery of communication plan outputs across the team and monitor their impact.
  • Work with the communications team to plan content for social media marketing campaigns.
  • Manage projects with external contractors to ensure timely completion within budget.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in a communications role.
  • Experience in writing for a range of audiences and mediums, from social media to annual reports.
  • The ability to effectively engage with internal stakeholders and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
  • A natural storyteller with the ability to create compelling content that motivates and is inclusive of target audiences.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex projects to completion.
  • Ability to write according to Plain English and Easy English principles.
  • Excellent computer literacy and digital communications know-how. Capability in design packages is an advantage.
  • Degree qualified in communications/journalism or a similar field.
