Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned leader to spearhead our workplace operations, driving efficiency and innovation across our global footprint. As Chief Workplace Operations Strategist, you will oversee the strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement of workplace operations, ensuring our workplaces scale efficiently to support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Global Workplace Operations team: Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and development opportunities to a high-performing team of workplace professionals.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and exceptional service delivery.
  • Develop and implement workplace strategies: Translate our business objectives and workplace vision into actionable strategies that optimise our real estate portfolio, enhance employee experience, and support future ways of working.
  • Oversee facilities management: Ensure the efficient and effective management of all offices globally, including maintenance, repairs, security, health & safety, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Drive workplace technology innovation: Implement and manage technology solutions that enhance the workplace experience, such as room booking systems, AV equipment, access control, and collaboration tools.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Own the global design and delivery of workplace operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and operational efficiency across regions.
  • Develop, monitor, and analyse key performance metrics related to workplace operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing positive change.
  • Lead Industry Innovation: Stay ahead of the curve by utilising your extensive industry network to remain informed about the latest workplace trends and innovations. Actively research and test new approaches to enhance our workplace and improve employee experiences and opportunities for collaboration.
  • Manage vendor relationships: Negotiate contracts, manage performance, and build strong relationships with key vendors and service providers.
  • Capital projects: You will play a crucial role in any capital projects, representing workplace needs and ensuring that renovations and new office builds align with our overall workplace strategy and employee experience goals.
  • Optimise space utilisation: Analyse space usage data, implement space planning strategies, and oversee office design projects to maximise efficiency and create inspiring work environments.
  • Develop and manage budgets: Develop and monitor operational and capital budgets for workplace operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial sustainability.
  • Champion sustainability: Implement sustainable practices and initiatives across our global offices to minimise environmental impact and promote social responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance: Maintain compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
  • Partner with key stakeholders: Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including HR, IT, Finance, and Real Estate, to ensure alignment and seamless service delivery.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of tech industry experience in workplace operations, facilities management, and workplace experience leadership in a global environment.
  • 7+ years experience in staff management and developing high performing teams.
  • Proven success mentoring & managing global teams and overseeing large-scale operations.
  • A high level of commercial acumen, including budgeting and financial management.
  • Direct experience in tendering contracts, contract negotiation and contract management.
  • Experience in managing multiple, large scale office fit outs and relocations.
  • Flexibility, adaptability and resiliency - excelling at anticipating and responding to change with the ability to thrive in dynamic and challenging environments.
  • Proven ability to independently drive initiatives from concept to execution.
  • An efficient and systems-oriented mindset with the ability to develop and implement holistic solutions to complex, systemic problems.
  • Experience in lease management and managing landlord relationships.
