About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Manager to join our Digital Product department at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and managing digital products for ABC News, Australia's most trusted news source.

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of new product initiatives to increase product performance and achieve business objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize product requirements, develop product roadmaps, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and managing digital product roadmaps to achieve business objectives
  • Leading day-to-day product management across the news website, in line with best practice principles
  • Establishing objectives, undertaking complex data analysis, and providing sound recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders
  • Actively gaining a deep understanding of audience experience to identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow audience reach, improve audience experience, and drive digital growth
  • Developing and communicating relevant success metrics and objectives to assess the effectiveness and performance of the products
  • Leading and managing a cross-functional product team, driving a high-performance culture to contribute to the achievement of P&T objectives

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager who has a proven track record of developing and managing digital products. You will have:

  • Significant experience in the development and management of digital products, and in successful product launches and lifecycle management
  • Demonstrated experience in managing, mentoring, and leading teams to achieve high performance and positive workplace culture
  • Demonstrated significant experience in managing workflows, budgets, and timeframes across multiple projects
  • Demonstrated highly advanced knowledge of and keep up to date with competitive trends in digital audience engagement
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to establish strategic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills with an aptitude for creative and strategic thinking
