About the Role

The Central Australian Aboriginal Congress is seeking a highly skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team in Alice Springs. As a key member of our Allied Health Services, you will play a vital role in providing culturally-responsive speech pathology services for Aboriginal children, youth, and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality assessment and therapeutic supports to National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants with neurodevelopmental disabilities, including Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Work collaboratively with children, youth, and their families to develop and implement individualized plans to optimize their child's development.
  • Support the overall health and wellbeing of Aboriginal children and youth through evidence-based practice and community engagement.
What We Offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation package that includes:

  • A base salary of $100,210 - $112,222 per annum.
  • An attractive total effective package of $123,479 - $137,115 per annum, which includes district allowance, superannuation, leave loading, and estimated tax saving from salary packaging options.

Eligibility and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Speech Pathology or a related field.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Experience working with children and youth with neurodevelopmental disabilities.
  • Cultural competence and understanding of the needs of Aboriginal children and families.
