About the Role

The Speech Pathologist provides high-quality speech pathology services for Aboriginal children, youth, and their families to optimize their child's development. This role supports children and youth living with disabilities, particularly neurodevelopmental disabilities, including Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver culturally responsive speech pathology services to Aboriginal children, youth, and their families.
  • Support children and youth living with disabilities, particularly neurodevelopmental disabilities.
  • Work with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants to provide assessment and therapeutic supports.
Requirements
  • Speech pathology qualifications and experience.
  • Culturally responsive practice and understanding of Aboriginal health issues.
  • Ability to work in a remote area and occasional travel may be required.
