We are seeking a skilled and experienced electrician to join our team as a Maintenance Electrician. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining all electrical equipment at our facility, ensuring optimal operation and minimizing downtime.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment to ensure optimal operation and minimize downtime.
- Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns from production staff.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults to implement timely repairs.
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment during capital projects.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work completed and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical regulations at all times.
- Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A trade qualification in electrical engineering.
- 5+ years experience maintaining electromechanical machinery.
- 3+ years experience in food industry maintenance, with knowledge of HACCP and GMP standards.
- Experience with automated machinery and PLC programming.
Desirable qualifications include a fork lift license and stainless TIG welding and fabrication skills.

Working Hours and Location
This is a permanent full-time role based in Karawatha, Brisbane. The working hours are: Week 1 - Wednesday to Friday, 3:00pm – 1:00am (3 days), Week 2 - Wednesday to Sunday, 3:00pm – 1:00am (5 days).
Parking is available on site.
