Key Responsibilities

The role involves producing ventilation plans and strategies for the underground mine, in alignment with the mine plan and strategy. This includes providing leadership and direction to Ventilation Technician Team members and supporting project, infrastructure, and ventilation engineering related activities on site.

  • Lead safety initiatives aligned with company values, policies, and procedures.
  • Offer technical guidance to the underground engineering and ventilation teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and planning regulations within the underground mining alliance.
  • Manage contractors and infrastructure projects efficiently.
  • Implement improvement projects that drive positive change.
Requirements

To be considered, candidates must demonstrate:

  • A degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in underground production, ventilation, and planning practices.
  • Effective time management and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Existing Permanent working rights in Australia (consideration given to those with existing 482 Employer sponsorship visas).
  • Underground Ventilation Officer Certificate of Competency, or willingness and ability to obtain competency.
  • First Class Mine Manager Certificate of Competency is desirable.
  • Western Australian "C" class driver's license.
