Quality and Safety Role Overview

The Quality and Safety Unit covers all facilities within a large healthcare service. The unit provides public health services across a diverse geographic footprint, ranging from regional cities to remote townships in the west and beachside communities along the coast.

  • Implement and monitor quality standards, occupational health and safety policies, procedures, and programs, providing best practice clinical governance in relevant work areas.
  • Lead coordination of a QSR Business Unit Partners approach to develop, implement, and evaluate a quality and safety plan, relevant national standards, and associated policies.
  • Collaborate with the Director Quality and Safety to coordinate CQHHS-wide activities towards a successful accreditation outcome.
  • Coordinate a clinical accreditation preparedness audit program for all specialty clinical areas, collaborating with the medical services area across the healthcare service.

Requirements:


Applicants must possess a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, with a current annual nursing practicing certificate, Division one being essential.
