Job Description

We are seeking a Support Professional to provide individualized support to adults with complex needs. This role involves building meaningful relationships, promoting independence and wellbeing, and collaborating with colleagues in a dynamic team environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized support to individuals with learning disabilities and autism, empowering them to live as independently as possible.
  • Foster trusting relationships through adaptable and person-centred approaches, promoting wellbeing and independence.
  • Mentor colleagues by sharing expertise and knowledge.
  • Employ Positive Behaviour Support methods and communication tools such as Makaton and Picture Exchange System.
  • Pursue ongoing specialist training and development opportunities to enhance skills and expertise.
  • Maintain high standards of care and support while upholding dignity, respect, and choice for individuals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Social Care (or equivalent) is preferred; if not qualified, relevant experience in social care is required.
  • Experience in mental health, autism, sensory communication, and physical health is desirable.
  • Strong mentoring and teamwork skills, with the ability to connect with people and support them to live independently.
