Job Description

Health & Safety Advisor Role:

As a Health & Safety Advisor at UGL, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our workforce and adhering to statutory regulations. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and interpreting relevant HSE legislation, policies, and regulations.
  • Providing direction and advice to projects to meet corporate objectives and responsibilities.
  • Auditing and assessing safety in design requirements.
  • Facilitating risk workshops to plan work effectively.
  • Tracking KPIs and supporting the HSE Manager in executing the Project Audit program.

Your contributions will directly impact the success of our projects and the safety of our employees.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma-level or tertiary qualifications in a related field (Desirable).
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety + trade background (Desirable).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a HSE Advisor in a high-risk industry (Project Construction Desirable).
  • Experience working in the capacity of Principal Contractor (Desirable).
  • ICAM Incident Investigation training and experience in leading investigations.
  • Strong communication skills and a working knowledge of ISO450001 or AS 4801.
