We are seeking a dedicated Health Clinician to join our multidisciplinary team, providing specialist mental health interventions to young people and families in a dynamic and supportive work environment.

About the Role

This role is part of a new multi-disciplinary CYMHS team providing in-reach within headspace Chatswood and Brookvale. The team will be well supported by NSLHD with access to training and development opportunities.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment, formulation, and evidence-based individual and family interventions such as CBT, DBT, attachment-based therapies, and family therapy for serious mental health problems in young people and early intervention for first episode psychosis for young people aged 12-24.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of systemic intervention principles in collaboration with broader system stakeholders for ongoing care.
  • Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and collaboratively with external partnerships/stakeholders with excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Requirements

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience as per clinical discipline and current AHPRA registration (or eligibility for membership of AASW for Social Workers). Social Work/Occupational Therapy requires experience as a level 2 clinician. Clinical Nurse Consultant will have at least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, and approved postgraduate qualifications or substantial relevant clinical experience within this setting. Clinical Psychologist will have a postgraduate master's or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from an APAC accredited University.
  • Extensive knowledge, skills and experience in providing assessment, formulation, and evidence-based individual and family interventions such as CBT, DBT, attachment-based therapies, and family therapy in the treatment of serious mental health problems in young people and/or early intervention for first episode psychosis for young people aged 12-24.
