About the Role

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Kitchen Steward to join our team at the K'gari Beach Resort. As a Kitchen Steward, you will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen facilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
  • Assisting with food preparation as needed
  • Helping to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

About You:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Key Requirements:

  • Hands-on approach to work
  • Professional outlook in the workplace
  • Ability to take direction
  • Knowledge of all cleaning requirements in the back of house kitchen area
  • Ability to ensure all food and beverage outlets are provided with clean and sanitized operating equipment
  • Follow correct safe handling techniques to transport and store food items
  • Wiping down of benches, mopping floors, and removal of rubbish from multiple outlets
  • Knowledge of chemical handling
  • Knowledge of food handling
