Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Risk Advisory Services team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in managing internal audit engagements and delivering high-quality risk advisory solutions.

You will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and reporting of projects while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring effective communication with key stakeholders. This role involves hands-on fieldwork, in-depth research, and strategic input across a range of client portfolios.

As a Senior Consultant, you will also support the development of junior staff through training and mentoring, and collaborate with third parties as needed. This is a dynamic position suited to a proactive professional seeking to make a tangible impact across clients and teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct various risk advisory engagements (e.g. internal audit, consulting, compliance, etc) across a broad range of industries simultaneously with numerous engagement team members, including planning, execution and scheduling staff;
  • Management and co-ordination of the team including training, mentoring and methodology compliance;
  • Work with and influence clients at senior levels in different business environments;
  • Perform technical and operational reviews for a range of clients with differing risk profiles;
  • Summarise the key areas of the engagement for the Partner/Principal/Manager;
  • Identify potential issues and document issue and proposed recommendation for Partner/Management attention;
  • Draft engagement reports in conjunction with Partner/Principal/Manager that provide practical and commercial business advice;
  • Assist Partner/Principal and/or Managers in business development and marketing activities; and
  • Contribute to meetings and ability to make effective presentations.
About You

You're a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in internal audit and risk advisory. With a passion for delivering high-quality outcomes, you thrive in both independent and team environments. Your strong communication and leadership skills enable you to build trusted relationships, while your analytical mindset ensures you provide practical, value-adding insights.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 4+ years' internal audit and risk advisory experience, preferably in professional services
  • Strong knowledge of internal audit methodology, IIA IPPF, and ISO 31000
  • Proven understanding of governance, compliance, and risk management processes
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with strong report writing and process mapping capabilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Organised, reliable, and self-motivated with strong time management skills
  • Ability to deliver practical, value-adding recommendations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Data analytics skills (e.g., IDEA or ACL)
