Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and community-focused professional to provide overall coordination and leadership of library functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering outcomes for communities and people in the Bega Valley Shire, aligning with the Community Strategic Plan and Bega Valley Library Services Strategic Plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the delivery of library services across the Shire and lead the activation of library spaces to meet user needs.
  • Oversight of library programs and partnerships, management of library assets, volunteers, and key stakeholder relationships.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree-level qualification relevant to community services, community development, or library and information science.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in library services or similar roles, demonstrating leadership experience in public library services and programs.
  • Experience in project and grant management, volunteer program management and development.
