The Opportunity

We are seeking two enthusiastic and skilled individuals to join our team in maintaining our large retirement community located in Ormiston. This beautiful community features over 200 independent living units surrounded by gardens, croquet lawns, bowling green, a workshop, and much more.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with staff and residents to ensure all gardens, grounds, buildings, and fixtures are well-maintained, presentable, and safe for everyone to enjoy. If you have a passion for spending time outdoors or enjoy completing light maintenance requests, we would love to hear from you.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of village gardens including weeding, mowing, hedging, and green waste removal
  • Attending to various maintenance requests around the village to create a safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff
  • Ensuring projects/tasks undertaken are safe, timely, and completed to a high standard
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance tasks around the community as per schedules
  • Ensuring all community spaces are appealing and safe for our community and visitors

You Will Bring:

  • An outgoing personality with an interest in making a difference every day and learning new skills
  • Experience in General 'Handyperson' Maintenance or Gardening roles (highly desired)
  • A current Police Check certificate (required, but if you do not possess, we can complete for you)
  • A valid driver's license and two COVID-19 doses (required)
