Role Overview

Youth Support Workers play a vital role in empowering children and young people to thrive in their daily lives.

  • They contribute to developing and implementing strategies to support positive behaviors and independent living skills.
  • This involves providing 24/7 care in a home environment, promoting the acquisition of life skills, and fostering a sense of community.

The ideal candidate will possess experience working in residential care, youth services, or Out of Home Care programs.

  • They should demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting children and young people using a person-centred approach.
  • Knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, with experience working in cross-cultural contexts, is highly valued.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, nights, sleepovers, and public holidays, is essential.
