Support Worker Role Overview

The Support Worker is a vital position that empowers individuals to live their life, their way.

This role involves working closely with customers to make decisions about their lives, helping them achieve their goals, big or small.

As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial part in the lives of our customers and their families, providing physical assistance, companionship, and emotional support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with daily living activities such as mealtimes, medication, mobility, dressing, and bathing.
  • Supporting social inclusion by attending community centers and encouraging customers to stay connected.
  • Transporting customers to appointments, shops, and outings, promoting independence and mobility.
  • Providing personal care, respite, and specialized nursing or allied health supports as needed.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Cert III in Individual Support (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a similar capacity
  • A current National Police Clearance (obtained within the past six months)
  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Up-to-date certifications in Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) and Provide CPR (HLTAID009)
  • Evidence of COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations
  • A valid Driver's Licence (WA or International)
  • A reliable vehicle with current insurance and registration
