Job Description

The Director, Site Operations Australia is responsible for leading site operations across the APAC region and overseeing the biospecimen operations line of business.


Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a confident, positive, and visionary leader aligned with the company's mission and values.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure infrastructure, systems, and personnel support scalable, repeatable, and high-quality operations.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics and KPIs aligned with corporate standards.
  • Promote a culture of trust, flexibility, and accountability.
  • Lead and develop team members, fostering a performance-driven and engaged workforce.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Develop strategic plans for start-up, growth, and expansion of clinical central lab operations across the APAC region.
  • Lead recruitment, training, and retention efforts to build a high-performing team.
  • Directly manage accessioning, biorepository, and kit building teams across APAC.
  • Accurately forecast labor needs and manage resources to meet operational demands.
  • Conduct performance reviews, training, and mentoring to support employee development.
  • Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency, productivity, and consistency.
  • Address client needs and recommend process enhancements to optimize service delivery.
  • Monitor and act on operational metrics to ensure quality and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; an advanced degree such as a Master's (MBA/MS) is strongly preferred.
  • A PhD is considered an asset.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in a management role within a clinical or central laboratory environment.
  • Prior experience as a CAP Director preferred.
