Our company is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our team.
This role involves taking responsibility for design management, project management and coordination of multidisciplinary civil projects within the roles of Job Manager and/or Lead Civil Engineer. You will develop a culture of outstanding delivery within the team including the development of workflow processes to take a design from feasibility to detailed design.
You will also provide coaching and mentoring to our young, enthusiastic team members with respect to your technical area of expertise as well as project planning and execution. Business development activities from the early identification of opportunities through to their active pursuit in collaboration with our internal and external partners are another key part of this role.
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will work amongst a group of highly motivated professionals, stepping into an open and supportive culture that values the skills that you can contribute to the group. We will provide you with a wide range of technical and leadership challenges that will continue to grow your skills and knowledge.
Ideally, you will be a qualified Professional Engineer (CPEng) with Engineers Australia (or equivalent Professional Society), with your civil engineering experience coming from a consulting environment. You will have experience working on drainage or civil engineering projects, preferably having technical expertise in grading and drainage design.
With a particular focus on general civil projects, you will have strong links to the Victorian market that will have developed your expertise in 3D Design (12D or Civil 3D), Design Management and Bid writing/tendering. You are a values driven person who enjoys sharing the successes of your colleagues and delivering excellence for your clients.
Flexibility, proactivity and an understanding of the importance of teamwork in a consultancy setting are essential attributes in this role. In addition, you will possess excellent communication skills, well-developed interpersonal skills, and the ability to display initiative.
