Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Community Outreach Coordinator to play a key role in promoting and enhancing understanding of mental health services.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Service Manager to represent the Centre at community forums and events, develop local partnerships, and ensure the Centre is an integral part of the mental health and wellbeing sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who possess strong communication skills and a passion for community development.

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field or extensive experience in community engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Promote and enhance understanding of mental health services.
  • Coordinate community awareness activities and events.
  • Represent the Centre at community forums and events.
  • Develop and maintain local partnerships to integrate the Centre into the mental health and wellbeing sector.
Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, such as community development, health promotion, public health, social sciences, or education.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups, including public speaking.
  • Understanding of mental health needs of consumers, including those with substance use problems.
