Underground Mine Geologist Role

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Underground Mine Geologist to join our team. As a key member of the underground geology team, you will be responsible for conducting geological activities, including grade control, geological modeling, and assisting with drilling programs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct underground mine geology activities, including face mapping and sampling, core logging, and geological modeling.
  • Assist with planning and implementation of drilling programs.
  • Liaise with managers, external contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Supervise and train Geological Technicians and Graduate Geologists.
  • Accountable for underground geology, contract, and stakeholder management, safety, compliance, continuous improvement, analysis, and reporting duties.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology.
  • Current 'C' Class Western Australian driver's license.
  • Substantial experience within the resources sector.
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, DataMine, and Leapfrog.
  • Able to start immediately.
  • Great interpersonal skills.
  • Australian working rights.
  • Passing medicals and drug-alcohol tests.
  • Underground mining experience highly advantageous.
