A Ministerial Liaison Officer is required to support the Chief Defence Scientist in Government and Defence Enterprise engagement.

The successful candidate will contribute to the coordination of the Defence Science & Technology Group by supporting the Chief Defence Scientist in communication with key stakeholders. This includes drafting responses to inquiries from Government and managing correspondence across the whole of government and Defence on DSTG-related matters.

The Ministerial Liaison Officer will also be responsible for tasking ministerial briefs, correspondence, and Parliamentary events. They will work closely with relevant DSTG teams and stakeholders to convey the expectations of the Chief Defence Scientist.

To succeed in this role, you will require strong judgement, flexibility, and adaptability. You will need to have well-developed verbal and written communication skills and be able to exercise sound judgement at all times.
