DAC-Jones Lang LaSalle (VIC) Pty Ltd is a leading global provider of real estate and investment management services. Our dynamic PAM VIC Finance Team in Melbourne, VIC, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Portfolio Accountant to join our team.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Portfolio Accountant to provide efficient and accurate financial operations to all key business units and external clients. As a Portfolio Accountant, you will play a key role in preparing and processing month-end reports, including variance commentaries, and assisting in creating annual property budgets and periodic reforecasts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process month-end reports, including variance commentaries.
  • Assist in creating annual property budgets and periodic reforecasts.
  • Manage outgoings reconciliations and audits in collaboration with Centre Managers.
  • Oversee accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and lease administration.
  • Conduct general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Calculate annual percentage rent and major tenant rent reviews.
  • Monitor cash flow and provide commentary on variances.
  • Prepare monthly major tenants sales reporting.
  • Assist with data collection for land tax, council rates, and annual shopping centre revaluations.
  • Regular review of aged debtors with Centre Manager.
  • Train and oversee Finance Administrator as needed.
About You
  • Accounting or Business degree.
  • Working towards CPA/CA qualifications or equivalent.
  • Property accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially intermediate Excel proficiency.
  • MRI experience preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make timely, well-considered decisions.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
