As a Product Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading the execution of customer product development and product expertise functions within Australia and New Zealand. This role involves managing key responsibilities including customer product development, acting as the face to the customer, providing technical support, and organizing training courses on the full product range and application.
Key Responsibilities Include- Customer Product Development
- Ensure a comprehensive understanding of projects for accounts, encompassing customer capabilities, product portfolio, future projects, and launches.
- Act as the primary point of contact with customers, advising them on application and choice of the right product range.
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure alignment on product presentations.
- Provide technical support to existing and new customers, while creating new market opportunities.
- Product Expert Related
- Perform sensory tests in conjunction with QA, assist Process Engineers during industrial trials, assess requests from a technical perspective, and identify project members and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with subcontractors at their facilities for NPI, support OSCO in defining business cases for investment, and analyze customer or competitor samples.
- Travel Requirements
- Travel throughout Australia and to SEA and NZ & Pacific Islands from time to time.
About You
- Bachelor / Master Degree in Food Science / Food Technology is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in the Food Industry, knowledge of the chocolate industry is preferred.
- Excellent project management skills, outstanding presentation skills, and experience in Sales or customer interaction are essential.
- Good knowledge of working tools (MS Office, Google Suite, Salesforce, SAP) and fluent Business English are required.
