Senior Auditor Opportunity

MARS Recruitment is partnering with a top 10 professional accounting firm to find a Senior Auditor to join their Business Advisory & Assurance division. This role offers a unique chance to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, including ASX-listed companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute audit plans to ensure high-quality delivery of audit work.
  • Conduct financial and compliance audit fieldwork, including interim and final testing.
  • Prepare clear and concise work papers in line with audit methodology.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements and basic tax computations.
  • Draft technical memos for review by managers and partners.
  • Provide regular feedback to staff during and after assignments.
  • Liaise with clients and managers to ensure timely job completion and reviews.
Requirements:
  • University educated and CA Qualified with strong academic performance.
  • 3-4+ years in an audit function within a Big 4 or Mid-Tier Chartered Firm.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and tax, with a comprehensive understanding of the audit process and risk assessment.
  • Proven capability to prepare work papers according to firm and divisional standards and to train junior staff in these procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to delegate tasks effectively to junior staff.
  • Previous experience with Private, Not-For-Profit, Charities, and Government clients is highly desirable.
