Job Summary:
Mars Recruitment is partnering with a top 10 professional accounting firm to hire a Senior Auditor to join their growing Business Advisory & Assurance division. The successful candidate will work with a diverse portfolio of clients, including ASX-listed companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute audit plans to ensure high-quality delivery of audit work.
- Conduct financial and compliance audit fieldwork, including interim and final testing.
- Prepare clear and concise work papers in line with audit methodology.
- Prepare statutory financial statements and basic tax computations.
- Draft technical memos for review by managers and partners.
- Provide regular feedback to staff during and after assignments.
- Liaise with clients and managers to ensure timely job completion and reviews.
Requirements:
- University educated and CA Qualified with strong academic performance.
- 3-4+ years in an audit function within a Big 4 or Mid-Tier Chartered Firm.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and tax, with a comprehensive understanding of the audit process and risk assessment.
- Proven capability to prepare work papers according to firm and divisional standards and to train junior staff in these procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to delegate tasks effectively to junior staff.
- Previous experience with Private, Not-For-Profit, Charities, and Government clients is highly desirable.
