About Our Team

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Officer to lead our Modern Manufacturing Workshop, ensuring safe, efficient, and innovative delivery of bespoke manufacturing solutions.

  • Our ideal candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations, coordinating scheduling, inductions, and equipment training to ensure a seamless workflow.
  • Liaising with researchers, academics, and industry partners, they will scope and prioritise jobs, fostering collaborative relationships across the University and beyond.
  • Proficiency in operating and programming CNC and multi-axis lathes, as well as manual equipment, is essential for this role.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and producing CAD technical drawings to support prototyping and research projects.
  • Ensuring compliance with WHS standards, SOPs, and safe workshop practices is crucial for maintaining a healthy work environment.
  • This senior position requires leadership and mentoring skills, with a focus on building strong, cohesive teams that drive innovation and excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Requirements
