About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people. As a Youth Employment Specialist, you'll work closely with our clients to identify their strengths and areas for development, and provide tailored support to help them achieve their career aspirations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized job plans to support clients in achieving their career goals.
  • Conduct assessments to identify barriers to employment and provide referrals to relevant services.
  • Provide pre-employment support, including resume building, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
  • Facilitate activities and learning experiences to build confidence and independence.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external service providers to access suitable opportunities for clients.
  • Post-placement support for the first 26 weeks of employment or education.

Requirements for Success

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as employment services, social work, or youth development.
  • Experience in case management, assessment, and support work with young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to tailor communication to meet the needs of diverse clients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Full driver's license with no restrictions.
