Lead a High Performing Engineering Team

A senior leader is required to manage and oversee the development of engineering teams, focusing on building high performing platforms at scale.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in leading squads or small teams and fostering inclusive and high performing engineering cultures.

  • They must be able to uplift engineering excellence, standards, patterns, automation, CI/CD, testing, and documentation across the team.

  • Collaboration with Product, Risk, Security, and stakeholder teams is essential to align strategy, manage trade-offs, and communicate progress with clarity.

  • The successful candidate will also guide roadmaps, balance resilience and feature delivery, and remove impediments so the team can move fast with quality.

  • Knowledge of scaling platforms using AWS and modern tooling is necessary, as well as a commitment to SRE principles, capacity planning, performance engineering, and cost optimisation (FinOps).

  • Ultimately, the goal is to transform core banking with resilient platforms, thoughtful engineering, and a relentless focus on customer trust.

  • Familiarity with cloud native architectures and AWS.

  • Knowledge of API platforms and strong API design.

  • Experience with event streaming and observability practices.
