About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Curriculum Manager to lead strategy and governance work for curriculum objectives and deliverables across Prep to Year 12.

This role is a key position in our team, responsible for providing leadership and direction in the planning and implementation of curriculum priorities, ensuring that outcomes are aligned to, and supportive of the Department of Education's agenda to realise the potential of every student.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinating and contributing to the strategic direction and activities related to curriculum and teaching, as well as its operations.
  • Providing high-level advice and support to senior officers of the Reviews, Curriculum, Teaching and Learning (RCTL) Branch on policy and strategy relating to state schooling.
  • Liaising with curriculum and teaching teams and other branches to oversee and deliver interdepartmental and National priorities.
  • Building positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Developing advice and guidance for regions and state schools.
Requirements

We are looking for a strategic and critical thinker who can provide leadership and direction in the planning and implementation of curriculum priorities. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A critical and strategic thinker, who can analyse issues and make informed recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Supports others to recognise strengths, biases, and gaps in information and seeks advice to enable a prompt and considered response.
  • Drives new thinking by encouraging others to share and debate ideas and creative solutions.
  • Works with curriculum and teaching teams to develop shared objectives and clear indicators for success.
  • Exceptional writer and communicator.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and coordination skills.
  • Can work independently, but also collaboratively as part of a team.
