Job Title: Aboriginal Mental Health Clinician

The Southern NSW Local Health District is seeking a skilled and compassionate Aboriginal Mental Health Clinician to join our multidisciplinary team. As an essential member of our service, you will provide recovery-focused care to individuals with mental illness, distress, or risk issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and care coordination for both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people
  • Intervention, liaison, advocacy, and review services
  • Collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centered care

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Health Science (Mental Health) or relevant registration with AHPRA
  • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal cultures and links with local communities
  • High-level communication skills and ability to engage with consumers, families, and carers
  • Computer skills, including Electronic Medical Record Programs and Microsoft Office
