
Child Family Contact Coordinator

The Family Contact Specialist plays a crucial role in providing supervised birth family contact to children and young people in out-of-home care, enabling them to maintain and develop relationships with their birth families in a safe and supportive environment.
This position involves planning, supervising, and reporting on contact visits. The successful candidate will work closely with trained staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for these vulnerable individuals.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as the Family Contact Specialist will work with various stakeholders, including children, young people, birth families, and professional partners.
- Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary to coordinate and manage contact visits, ensuring that they are conducted in a timely and efficient manner.
Beyond these core requirements, we are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic individual who is passionate about supporting vulnerable young people and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, supervise, and report on contact visits between children or young people in out-of-home care and their birth families.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in social work, psychology, education, or a related field.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly children and young people in out-of-home care.
