Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee clinical care within the service, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Liaise with residents, families, unit staff, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive input into resident assessments and care.
  • Collaborate with medical practitioners, allied health professionals, and other healthcare providers to ensure positive outcomes for our residents.
  • Develop and implement training programs for RNs, ENs, and Care Workers, monitoring staff competency levels and identifying training needs.
  • Manage AN-ACC reviews, ensuring documentation is proficient and consumer care funding is maximized.
  • Effectively manage incidents, minimizing impact and taking appropriate actions to improve processes.

Requirements:

  • AHPRA Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse in the aged care sector
  • Strong clinical skills and extensive knowledge of aged care standards and regulations
  • Understanding of the AN-ACC process, assessments, and reviews
  • Background in staff training and development
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to appreciate cultural diversity
  • Empathetic approach to patient care
