Job Description:

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading an effective and high-functioning team of multi-disciplinary staff to deliver client-centered residential Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) services. Your role will involve overseeing the assessment, processing, and admission of participants into treatment, community or residential based programs.

You will work closely with the Nurse Team Lead and the Team Lead for Central Assessments to ensure a seamless service for participants. Additionally, you will oversee residential AOD activities, developing strong networks and partnerships, building collaborative and professional relationships with other agencies.

Key responsibilities include continuing to develop and coach direct reports, utilizing quality checks as feedback and opportunities for learning and reflecting. You will also assist the Centre Manager in evaluation and research and representation of the service as required.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversight of assessment, processing, and admission of participants into treatment, community or residential based programs
  • Working closely with the Nurse Team Lead and the Team Lead for Central Assessments
  • Overseeing residential AOD activities and developing strong networks and partnerships
  • Developing and coaching direct reports, utilizing quality checks as feedback and opportunities for learning and reflecting
  • Assisting the Centre Manager in evaluation and research and representation of the service as required

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary or other qualifications within Community Services, Social Work, or similar discipline
  • Solid level of experience (minimum 2+ years) in the implementation of case management, groups, and systems for AOD/or complex needs clients
  • Experience working in collaboration with other organisations to develop and tailor programs to meet clients' needs
  • Minimum 2 years' supervisory experience
  • Current driver's license
