Paediatric Oncology Research Fellowship

This opportunity is designed for an Advanced Trainee or early career medical professional looking to integrate research activities into their clinical practice. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team focused on paediatric oncology, with access to protected time for research and development.

  • About the Role:
  • The primary responsibility of this position involves undertaking research or evidence-based practice and quality improvement activities. This includes developing an approved research plan in consultation with a supervisor.
  • Additionally, the individual will participate in the ZERO Childhood Cancer Research Study as a Precision Medicine Fellow, contributing to groundbreaking work in precision medicine.
  • The role also involves delivering medical services at a Fellow level, adhering to established policies and values.
  • Assisting in the professional development of junior medical staff and training of students in medical, nursing, and allied health fields is another key aspect of this position.

About the Team:

  • The Oncology Service comprises various dedicated teams focusing on leukaemia, lymphoma, bone marrow transplant; solid tumours and neuro-oncology; radiation oncology, palliative care, and non-malignant haematology.
  • As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with consultant specialists and contribute to high-quality patient care.
