We are seeking an experienced Strategic Credit Risk Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing Cuscal's credit risk, ensuring compliance with prudential standards and Board policy. Key responsibilities include:

Credit Risk Management:

  • Monitoring and management of Cuscal's credit risk on a selected portfolio of ADIs and corporate exposures.
  • Ongoing assessment of counterparties' credit and liquidity worthiness.
  • Identification of emerging credit/counterparty risks and providing recommendations to key internal stakeholders.

Credit Evaluation & Decision Making:

  • Preparation and processing of detailed credit submissions for all committed and uncommitted facility applications.
  • Providing timely credit decisions for all permanent and transactional credit requests.
  • Assisting in ongoing improvement to existing credit risk related policies and procedures.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Maintaining strong relationships with new and prospective clients.
  • Providing information, training, advice, and tools to the first line of defence to assist them in identifying, managing, and monitoring risks.
  • Assisting with completing credit risk-related remediation actions.

Reporting:

  • Maintaining complete and accurate counterparty records.
  • Preparing reports for submission to ALCO and the Board Risk Committee.

As a Strategic Credit Risk Manager at Cuscal Limited, you will have extensive credit experience covering financial institutions and corporates, as well as a sound understanding of credit analysis techniques. You will also possess excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to read and understand balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other financial reports. In addition, you will be a natural collaborator with strong communication skills and the ability to influence action and outcomes across cross-functional groups.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
