Operational Excellence - Mechanical Plant Controller

This role involves oversight of the plant process and undertaking inspections, maintenance, and monitoring on a 12-hour night shift rotating roster, including weekends.

  • Inspecting plant equipment and monitoring coal preparation processes to optimize operational efficiency and maintain a high level of safety.
  • Diagnosing and resolving plant performance issues to minimize downtime and maximize production output.

The selected candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, be proactive in identifying solutions to complex problems, and demonstrate excellent communication skills to ensure seamless coordination with other teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and controlling plant operations to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conducting routine mechanical maintenance and cleaning tasks to prevent equipment failure and maintain optimal performance.
  • Using SAP to requisition spare parts and equipment as required.
  • Conducting sampling and manual process adjustments to ensure accurate and reliable data collection.
