We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Flight Operations Quality Assurance Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development, implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive Quality Assurance Management System (QAMS) that meets the requirements of CASR 142.210.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing regular updates to senior management on the effectiveness of the QAMS
  • Coordinating the assessment of events and trends, identification of operational hazards and escalation of preventative and corrective actions
  • Managing the analysis of flight data and production of reports and presentations for the FOQA Program
  • Acting as the principal point of contact for Flight Operations Management, gatekeepers and Flight Data Analysis Systems and Programs
  • Developing and implementing new data analysis products and methodologies for data mining

In addition to these key responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be required to:

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant Civil Aviation Safety Regulations, Orders and industry best practice
  • Represent the organization at FOQA related industry meetings and seminars
  • Participate in the development and implementation of safety management systems and quality assurance programs

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience and a high level of understanding of Safety Management Systems and Quality Assurance Programs
  • A thorough understanding and working knowledge of data analytics and relevant Civil Aviation Safety Regulations
  • High-level proficiency in computers, spreadsheets and data dissemination tools

Desirable criteria include:

  • Previous experience in flight data programs (EMS/Airfase users preferred)
  • Experience or understanding of High Capacity RPT Operations
  • A completed degree in an aviation-related discipline
