Job Summary:
We're seeking a compassionate and caring Direct Support Professional to join our team in the NorthCentral Area. As a Direct Support Professional, you'll play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives. You'll work collaboratively with our team to provide person-centered support, promote independence, and foster a culture of kindness and respect.
Responsibilities:
• Identify and engage in person-specific community activities that promote recreation, socialization, and life skill development
• Assist individuals in achieving their Individualized Service Plan (ISP) goals, providing companionship and modeling appropriate social skills to build and maintain personal relationships
• Support individuals in staying safe by following person-specific plans and protocols
• Provide transportation to and from preferred activities
Requirements:
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle
• Pass a Massachusetts and nationwide criminal background check (CORI and fingerprinting)
• Current annual physical or the ability to be seen by a primary care physician within 30 days
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
