About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning and Development Specialist to join our team at Lighthouse Recruitment. As a Learning and Development Specialist, you will play a critical role in increasing the capability of employees within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training Needs Analysis: Identify training needs of employees within your designated area of responsibility.
  • Learning Solution Design: Design and develop learning solutions to increase individual, leadership, and organizational capability.
  • Learning Delivery: Facilitate clinical and non-clinical workshops, assessments, and learning solutions for the organization.
  • Employee Onboarding: Coordinate employee onboarding, including induction and compliance training for new, returning, and promoted employees.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure completion of regulatory training and maintain full compliance within set standards.
  • Resource Management: Maintain a library of development resources, ensuring new aged care industry needs are catered for, and provide access to relevant materials to employees.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Provide coaching to enhance employee skills and confidence in completing their roles.
  • Reporting and Administration: Maintain the LMS system with attendance, compliance, and feedback, providing regular reporting to the Learning Manager.
Requirements
  • Comprehensive Knowledge: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the Aged Care sector, including funding and policy protocols, and accreditation standards and processes.
  • Leadership and Coordination: Coordinate, educate, and mentor clinical staff to achieve high-quality care standards.
  • Quality Standards: Assist aged care homes to strive for achieving 100% compliance with Quality standards 100% of the time.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Registered Nurse Div 1: Registered with APHRA with a current practice certificate.
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment: Or equivalent Diploma.
  • University Degree: In business, HR, Psychology, social sciences, or related field, or comparable advanced education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum 2+ Years' Experience: As a Registered Nurse, with a minimum of 1+ year's experience in learning and development or nurse educator role.
  • Workplace Experience: As a facilitator and workplace coach or mentor, with experience in instructional design.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Develop and maintain strong client relationships, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Courageous Problem-Solving: Courageous in applying new solutions to problems, with a strong focus on delivering outcomes and expectations.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven project management skills, with the ability to provide an inclusive learning environment.
