Homelessness Outreach Project Worker

Are you passionate about supporting people experiencing homelessness? We are seeking a dedicated Outreach Project Worker to lead the delivery of the Bendigo Homelessness Project.

This is a max-term part-time position, 30.4 hours per week, based in Bendigo VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 5 Award.

  • Maintain accurate records & reports
  • Be approachable and respectful of people attending the service
  • Collaborate with internal and external key stakeholders
  • Provide outreach, manage a small caseload, and provide periods of case management support to people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness
  • Seek to understand common needs, presentations and reflect lived experience in applied learnings, networking, and service advocacy

Responsibilities include:

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma or above tertiary qualification in a relevant Social Work or Human Services field
  • Demonstrates knowledge of homelessness including context, causes, issues, philosophies, and legislation
  • Experience working effectively with people who exhibit multiple/complex service needs and/or are chronically disadvantaged
  • Proactive and self-motivated in managing priorities, outcomes and requirements of the role
