Program Officer Position

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for planning, managing and conducting structured & progressive programs to adults in a culturally diverse environment.

  • The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of community development and experience in working with persons from varying cultural backgrounds.
  • They must also possess skills in engaging detainees and staff alike, as well as the ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage and conduct structured and progressive cooking programs and activities for adults.
  • Conduct needs analysis and produce specific programs based on detainee needs.
  • Ensure excellent levels of service in assigned responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Cert III Level in an associated discipline such as Sports & Rec or Learning & Development.
  • Obtain and maintain a current Australian Federal Police Clearance.
  • Hold and maintain HLTAID009 Provide CPR (previously HLTAID001) and HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (previously HLTAID003) certificates with at least 6 months currency on the certificate.
