This senior data engineer position is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining internal software tools for data processing, workflow automation, benchmarking and testing.

Job Responsibilities
  • Data Engineering: Develop high-quality software tools and workflows to process and analyze large datasets, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Pipeline Development: Create and maintain automated pipelines (CI/CD, DataOps) for efficient data processing and delivery.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with field service engineers and drone pilots to collect in-field test data from sensors for analysis.
  • Workflow Optimization: Profile, benchmark and optimize performance-critical code for high availability, reliability, low latency and scalability.
  • Troubleshooting: Collaborate with stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve bug/issue reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional data/software engineering environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating automated workflows (CI/CD, DataOps) and AI/ML pipelines (MLOps).
  • Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language, preferably Python or Java.
  • Advanced understanding of data structures, algorithms and mathematics and physics in software development.
  • Familiarity with Linux and containerization (Docker).
