The role of a maintenance technician is to ensure the smooth operation of production equipment and facilities.

This involves coordinating maintenance duties, performing diversified tasks such as installing and maintaining production machines, and providing emergency repairs during production.

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report unusual situations to supervision.
  • Use hand and power tools, as well as material handling equipment, in performing duties.

Maintenance Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate press performance, troubleshoot press-related issues, and repair or replace parts as needed.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair of trim and pierce tools.
  • Perform simple welding and light fabrication tasks, including MIG welding.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
  • Work with teams to implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) process for machinery.
  • Perform plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions as required.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Skill Requirements:

  • Familiarity with presses, press tools, and their operation.
  • Able to perform simple welding and light fabrication tasks.
  • Proficient in MIG welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
