Strategic IT Leadership Opportunity

A visionary Chief Information Officer is sought to spearhead the next phase of our company's growth agenda. Reporting to the CEO, this senior leader will be based at our headquarters in Melbourne's Northern suburbs.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in supply chain management, distribution, and sales-driven businesses. With a strong command of enterprise systems and cloud technologies, they will lead the technology strategy and operations. This role is pivotal in driving digital transformation, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering strategic partnerships across the organisation.

We supply a diverse range of industrial products to customers across the region, partnering with major industries including resources, construction, manufacturing, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver IT strategies aligned with business goals, driving innovation, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Lead the deployment and optimisation of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (FinOps) and Customer Engagement (CE) platforms.
  • Oversee Azure cloud architecture and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with Essential Eight Level 2 standards.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives, including eCommerce, data analytics, and automation, to enhance customer experience and business performance.
  • Safeguard business-critical systems with high availability, robust disaster recovery (DRP), and business continuity planning (BCP).
  • Build and inspire high-performing IT teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify technology opportunities that deliver strategic value and operational efficiency.
  • Lead vendor negotiations and partnerships to support long-term technology goals.
  • Ensure cohesive enterprise architecture and system integration across the organisation.
Requirements

Applicants should possess a postgraduate qualification in Information Technology and/or Business Administration, along with at least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in IT, including 5 years in a CIO or equivalent role. They will bring proven expertise in leading diverse IT teams and managing complex vendor relationships, with a strong track record in supply chain, distribution, and sales-driven environments.

Candidates will be adept at driving digital transformation initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes. They will be commercially astute, with deep knowledge of Azure cloud technologies, enterprise architecture, and systems integration. A strong grasp of eCommerce strategy and delivery, coupled with experience in data analytics, predictive analytics, and AI, will enable them to create innovative, customer-focused solutions.
